HIV infection through saliva in anus

Hello, Three months back I had one off encounter with a guy who licked my anus for long and then inserted his penis in me but did not ejaculate there. He took it out immediately and there was no friction.

Now last 15 days I am having some kind of red patches on my neck with whitish covering. Please advise.

Regards, Rahul

All I can tell you from monitoring the expert forum is that the doctors have stated it is exceedingly rare for someone to test positive beyond 3 months, an interval they usually only recommend for higher risk cases. And you don't even know if your partner had HIV, so you were not at the highest of all possible risks.

You need to follow up with a personal visit to your physician on your skin rash, so you can get it treated. And do whatever he/she says regarding additional testing. But at this point with your negative results after 3 months I would stop worrying if I were you.

A negative result on a rapid test will be conclusive. If for some reason it is positive, you will need a western blot to rule out a false positive.

Woops, I reread your post. You can test NOW for a conclusive result.

Assuming your partner was not wearing a condom, you need testing because you engaged in a high risk activity.

Still, the odds are on your side.

Test at 6-8 weeks for reassurance and at 3 months for a conclusive result.

I would advise you to be more careful next time, or HIV is likely in your future.
