HIV risk from underwear (uncircumcised)

Dear friends,

I received protected oral sex from a csw. I was unable to get an erection. With the condom on I made one attempt to insert(lasting about 3 seconds) but could not penetrate because I simply was not into it and did not have a full erection. I thought I would of been, but I was not. I stopped there and pulled my underwear over the condom and left. One minute later, I realized I left the condom on so I took it off and placed my uncircumcised penis back into the underwear which greatly concerns me today. I honestly don't know how wet or how much vaginal fluid there was to begin with because i had the condom on but i believe it may not have been much because she did not masturbate or anything to produce a lot vaginal fluid. I want to know if there is any risk being exposed in this way. since i am uncircumcised and assuming there was vaginal fluid on the condom, what are my chances of exposure through my underwear.My foreskin does not cover my urethra. I have read many sources that say hiv don't live well outside the body, but this is unclear as to how long. I started to feel unwell (flu like, sore throat) within the first week to the second week and got a (one) swollen lymph node in my armpit on day 10 which had me worried. I did not have a thermometer to test whether i had a fever at that time. The lymph node only stayed swollen for 2 days. I started testing for fever exactly 2 weeks after but i never came down with a fever. I am now left with a cough (day 45) that seems to not leave me. I took a 40 day rapid antibody blood test and it came back negative. Do I have any reason to be concerned as i am very anxious? I cant eat and I cant sleep well.

You had protected sex.

HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.

HIV is transmitted by;
Unprotected penetrative anal and/or vaginal sex
Sharing works with other IV drug users
Mother to child

Thank you for your swift reply.That is really encouraging to hear. I try my best to not think about symptoms because the anxiety gets to you (really gets to you). However, what really concerns me is the part that i am uncircumcised. the risk seems to be increased with being uncircumcised. Most forums here where guys are concerned come from a circumcised concern (trust me i read a lot of them). Is it always white or black when it comes to transmission or are there some grey areas?

i.e. transmission takes place INSIDE the body…when a penis is INSIDE a vagina / anus.

thanks in advance

you had NO risk.  once hiv is exposed to air, it becomes inactive and unable to infect.
