Overwhelming symptoms of HIV

Hi,
I'm a 38 year old female who recently had unprotected vaginal sex with someone of unknown status. About a week after I started having sore throat that went away in about a week. Then, the diahrrea started and I still have that going on (over 2 months). Just yesterday I start having feelings in neuraphy in my left leg. I have tested several times;
Week 4: 4th gen combo negative
Week 6: 2 4th gen combos negative from 2 different labs
Week 8: 2 4th gen combos negative from 2 different labs
Week 8: prn viral load test- virus not detected

Is it possible the test just haven't picked up the virus? If I didn't have all these symtpoms I would be 100% reassured but when u read only about the symtpoms and they all say HIV it freaks me out.
Thanks

You were conclusively negative after week 4. The rest of your tests were a waste of time. Further testing will indicate hiv fixation. Any symptoms should be investigated by a doctor, instead of you wasting your time trying to diagnose hiv, since that is a disease that you don't have. If you haven't been diagnosed with neuropathy then it is possible it is just in your imagination.

Thanks for the feedback! The internet is great but can be very dangerous for people with health anxiety. I will continue to look for other medical causes to my chronic diahrrea as well as the tingling sensations in my leg. My time will b better spent that way. And thank you for taking the time to come on here and educate others on such an important topic. Have a great day!

No, it is not at all realistic to believe that your tests missed the infection.  The 4th generation test is as close as possible to 100% accuracy, and 3 tests in a row would not have missed the infection.  No viral load at week 8 confirms the other negative results.  It's time to look for a different cause of your medical symptoms - it isn't HIV.
