HIV test for group N

i found 4th generation tests only said for group M and O ( from quest diagnostic and even Abbott architect) Does that mean the tests are unable to detect group N? If true, will RNA TMA or DNA pcr will detect group N?

As said stop google. A lot of information is outdated, not always fully correct and there are many bull stories. because eventhough 4th gen is there already for years it's improved within those years to make sure nothing slips through.

You aren't helping yourself. Stop googling. Stop searching the internet.

All you are doing is fuelling your anxiety and fear.

All HIV antibody tests detect all strains no matter how you want to spin it. You don't have a rare strain.

My previous comment was been deleted. But if you do a little bit Google, you can find both antibody test or RNA test only check group M and O. I know group N is much less chance but it was reported in France already at 2011. So just wondering why current major test still not cover it. And there is already group P exists.

Where did you get this info from? The current tests are picking up all strains. From what I understood this only happened years ago with 2gen test.

As I mentioned before, you are searching for something that doesn't exist. Any antibody test you take at the right time will detect all HIV types.
