HIV too early to test

I had unprotected anal sex with a man I believe to be high risk.  How soon can I be tested for HIV? What symptoms do I need to watch for other than fever and swollen lymph nodes?

only a test at 3 months is conclusive.

"symptom watching" can bring on alot of stress and anxiety.  symptoms are never a good indicator of infection, as those same symptoms can be related to a host of common, everyday illnesses.

test at 6-8 weeks for a good indication of your status...and if still negative at that time...follow up at 3 months for a conclusive result.

in the future...always use condoms and plenty of water based lube when having intercourse.  sex lasts a few minutes...HIV LASTS A LIFETIME.
