I am female. have test positive in the past for HPV.... not HIV. I recently had a unprotected sexual encounter where he inserted his penis 2-3 times no more than a minute or so each time. Im so nervous! Now 5 days later I have aches, muscle pain and heavy chest congestion. He is an African American male. He is also the last and only person I had sex with 2 years ago and tested negative for all STDs including HPV.  What are my HIV risk?

Your risk was the unprotected penetrative vaginal sex. You can obtain your conclusive test result 3 months post exposure.

Hi, yes I know the risk was the unprotected vaginal insertion. I guess I meant how freaked out should I be? Although I will be getting tested in 3 months.

Why get freaked out now, there isn't anything you can change now.

I have read many post on here and what I notice is men and women are given completely different advice. A man can describe the same sexual encounter but with the sex worker nonetheless and he is told no risk hard to catch HIV on the first time. However women get best... bashed! This is the reason women are afraid to insist condom usage. HPV is very common and can be obtained even using a condom! I'm already nervous counting the days before I can be tested I don't need to be beat up about it. This is the only man I have slept with in the last 3 years on and off. But I thank you both for your responses.
