Hiv Risk

I am a paramedic, tonight I put an IV into a patient who is HIV +. When I pulled out the needle from the cathader a small amount of blood got on my lip. Can anyone help me or tell me what my risks are? Thank you..

The OP knew he was never at risk, ID transmission is taught in Paramedic schools.

Dear tony,even if you drank a bit of blood,assuming no cuts in your mouth you are ok, your incident does not require testing,
