Hiv anxiety

Hey
I wanted some help from you guys, I had protected anal sex about 4 weeks but half way through the condom broke an I didn’t realise for a few mins, when I did I put a new one on. After the encounter I got worried about HIV as I usually do as I never have unprotected sex cause of anxiety issues.

I asked the guy who I still speak to an he keeps saying he’s negative an that’s he doesn’t do risky stuff even tho I told him to get a rest done since I would have to wait 4 weeks anyway he said he knows he’s clean an refused, meanwhile I started to get symptoms started with a sore throat an nasal congestion which lasted a week, then got a sore neck an pain down my left arm for a few days then it turned onto back pain an wrist pain, the neck pain comes and goes nearly everyday with some slight headaches, I’ve had some dry mouth for about 2 weeks the sympomtes seem less strong now, I also had kinda a rash on my left upper arm shoulder area I say kinda cuz it’s like 4-5 spots kinda like acne spots spread out.

Now I’ve been obsessing over it for 2-3 weeks I got tested today an get my result tomorow or the day after an I’m just worried it is HIV an not related to stress an anxiety, I’ve never really had these sort of symptoms what are the chances I got it from one encounter an that’s if he’s positive he keeps saying he’s not but my anxiety makes me think irrationally, do those symptoms seem like ars, I haven’t had any fever really maybe some chills an cold hands and feet. Any advice or help would be appreciated thank you

Everyone posts about their ARS but I have never seen anyone with ARS which is why HIV doctors don't diagnose from symptoms.

If he doesn't do risky then you will be ok. Perhaps he has never had a broken condom before in which case a test today would be a waste of his time.
Try to relax until your test result because HIV doctors don't diagnose from symptoms so you can't get any use from studying them either. While waiting for result, I would just consider the test a formality if he is on the level.
