Access my HIV risk

First of all I would like to thank everyone here, your questions and answers helped me in so many ways. I apologize if I am repeating any questions, but I just need assurance.

5 days ago, I had sex at a massage palor with the lady. I believe I was wearing condom and it didn't broke, and I came inside. It was a very quick, 2 minutes session. A day after the sex I felt that my penis is more sensitive and ticklish, I believe it was just sore. Today, I had over 3 diarrhea in 2 hours and it was painful.

Therefore I have these questions:
1. How long is the period after the exposure that my symptoms will show?
2. Should I get tested?
3. I read online that there's 20% chance of catching HIV even with protection, why are there so many different statements?

I appreciate your help and consideration. Thanks

Glad you used a condom, this will protect you from HIV.  You don't need to test as you had protected sex which makes this a no risk encounter.  Condoms fail occasionally but this is meaning that they break. So, sex started with a condom but then it broke, and that is what they mean by risk with condom. Not that when a condom works right  and is intact throughout sex that there is still a risk. There isn't.

How long is the period after the exposure that my symptoms will show?

A: Never. Symptoms might only show up if some one had a potential HIV exposure. You had no exposure whatsoever.

2. Should I get tested?

A: No. Since you never had an exposure, testing would be redundant.

3. I read online that there's 20% chance of catching HIV even with protection, why are there so many different statements?

A: If you used a condom and it didn't break, it was sufficient to protect against HIV transmission. There is no inconsistency whatsoever with that information. There are sites that warn you of a small percentage, certainly not 20% of risk even with a condom, it is due to risk of breakage and not the efficacy of it.

Please move on from this event, you don't have an HIV concern.
