Hiv testing

Just a quick question in regards to HIV testing. If I had a risky exposure 8 years ago and have had multiple hiv 4th gen tests since the exposure would the test stay  positive? Risky sex would mean in my case anal penetration with a suspected individual. Does it stay positive for life? Thank you.

Yes, if you had HIV, your test would always be positive.  Any tests you had 90 days or more post-event are conclusive for ANY event.
