Do I need a medical examination in this case?

English is not my major language, so I just describe the problem generally. Once in a physical examination, immediately after one before me, the doctor use a tool like a plier to expand my nasal cavity without any disinfection. There is a bleeding cut in my nasal cavity,  and the whether is dry.  I am afraid there is also a bleeding cut in the former one's nasal cavity, so the virus may get into my cut through the unsterile tool.
I asked some people and they just gave the different answers. I want to know if the former one was  infected and bleeding , will I get infected? Do I need a medical examination in this case?

HIV is instantly inactivated in air so impossible for you to get it from pliers. It is a fragile virus, unlike a cold which lives outside the human body for weeks so is easy to catch which is why everyone gets colds. But no one gets HIV from air contact.
