Human Bite, Blood Present & PEP?

First and foremost thank you to all the members who are taking the time to respond to these questions.

A few days ago, I was involved in a bar fight in West Hollywood. In self defense/retaliation, I punched the male in the face (which most likely made him bleed inside his mouth) and he then processed, not exaggerating here, to bite my face once. He definitely broke the skin, he held on for about ten seconds and I definitely bled.

About two hours after the incident, I went to the ER. I got a tetanus shot, antibiotics prescribed and because I requested it: I was put on PEP. (Post Exposure)

My questions are: assuming there was most likely blood in his mouth, how big is the risk, being that my skin was opened?

Would this bite be less or more riskier than an unprotected sexual activity (statistically speaking)?

Would it be considered blood transfusion because his blood theoretically got direct access to my bloodstream?

Will PEP, if taken correctly and consistently, protect me from seroconverting?

I took my first dose exactly 9 hours after the exposure and have taken it consistently. (Truvada & Isentress)

Please, any input or advice would be greatly appreciate it, the anxiety is taking a toll on me.

I second CurfewX. There is no recorded case of infection in that manner.

PEP wasn't necessary. You must get a second opinion on PEP from an infectious disease specialist. An experienced doctor will surely get you off it.

Saliva has proteins that inhibits the virus. Therefore, even if this individual was infected and had mouthful of blood, there was no risk due to presence of saliva.

You're not going to get HIV that way and I have no idea why the hospital put you on PEP.  It's completely pointless as getting bitten by someone with blood in their mouth is not a known route of infection.
