I had sex with confirmed HIV+ Woman

Hi guys, 3 weeks ago I have protected sex with a confirmed HIV positive partner. I used the SKYN Elite condom--the thinnest one. The SKYN Elite condom is so thin that i worry it may have not protected effectively. Are my HIV worries reasonable. Any chance of an infection? The condom did not break at; I am only worried about how think it is.

Those condoms are made from polyisoprene which provides an effective barrier against HIV and most other STDs. You did the right thing using a condom, congratulations! As long as you always use condoms and they remain intact then you have no worries for HIV transmission.

Yes, I agree. The condom protected you from HIV and was considered safe sex. There is no reason to worry or test after that if you used protection.

Is she on treatment? if she is, then it would create an extra layer of protection. I think you should be fine as long as the condom was used correctly.

If she has been on treatment for sometime, then that means she can't infect you with the virus.
She's been on treatment for almost two years now. I am pretty sure I used the condom correctly. My worry was that the SKYN Elite condoms seem and feel too thin, so I was worried about their effectiveness to protect against HIV. If she were not on treatment but I used the condom correctly, would the encounter be considered risky enough to warrant PEP (way past PEP window now) and/or testing?
The advice you received previously does not change. You used a condom and it didn't break. You had no risk, regardless of whether she was on treatment or not. It's totally irrelevant.

You are okay. You are freaking out because you now know her status, otherwise you would by now have forgotten you slept with that lady, because you followed the GOLDEN RULE of CONDOMISING.
