Insertive Oral Sex and Thrush

About two weeks ago I met up with a guy and he gave me a blowjob. I didn't know his status and afterwards I freaked out. Other than that one instance I always use condoms.

A day after it happened I went to my doctor who gave me a prescription for Truvada/Kaletra. My baseline test was negative for all common STDs and HIV.

A week after it happened I went to another STD clinic and had another test done (I wasn't sure if gonorrhea and chlamydia would show up on a test a day after) and those tests were all negative. However, the clinic gave me an antibiotic shot and azithromycin. A few days after taking the antibiotics I started noticing that something was wrong with my tongue.

I now think that I have thrush (I don't pass the spit test and it's painful when I brush my tounge) and I'm worried that this is an HIV symptom. Would a week be too soon for a symptom like thrush to show up?

I'm terrified to go back to my doctor. Do you think that thrush could have been caused by the antibiotics and/or stress? Right before it happened I was also using Cepacol antibacterial mouthwash.

I haven't had a fever at all since this happened.

Any other symptoms I think I have can explained by the Truvada/Kaletra, but every time I go to the bathroom and look in the mirror my tongue freaks me out.

You're not in the window period because you never had an exposure. You never needed nPEP as Teak said- the doctor who prescribed it is incompetent-, and you never needed any type of HIV testing. You are wasting your life over a no risk situation.

"what should I do?"

Forget about this and move on with your life.

It has been a week since I finished PEP and I went to a testing center and had an OraQuick test done.. The test came back with a faint line. I freaked out and the testing person did another OraQuick test that came back negative.

They recommended that I go to another testing center tomorrow and have the blood version of the OraQuick test.

I realize that I'm in the window period, but what should I do?

You never had an exposure and should never have been given nPEP.
