Is protected period sex safe? Really paranoid at this point.

I went to a stripper's (frequently has sex for money) apartment last week, and I had sex. During sex, I noticed some blood on the condom when I briefly withdrew. She finally told me she was on her period. We continued anyway. I finished and removed the condom by stretching the base of the condom on the left and right ends so I wouldn't roll it down. I carefully pushed the condom off without touching the head. I wiped away a little blood where the base of the condom was with toilet paper.

We started again with a new condom, but the blood continued to flow. By then, I had a rag to carefully wipe away the blood before it touched the base of the condom. I noticed the condom rolled up a little, so I rolled it back half an inch. It made me a little uncomfortable, and I went flaccid for a minute then I was erect afterward. I couldn't finish so I removed the second condom the same way I did the first one.

Based on this experience, do I need a HIV test? Am I in danger of any STD/STI? When should I get tested?

Protected sex is for protection, right?  So, if your urethra of your penis was covered, you will not get HIV.  The condom is a barrier.  The only way people get HIV is from unprotected vaginal or anal sex or sharing IV drug needles.  So, you should rest easy.  This includes protected sex with someone on their period. The blood looks scary but your penis is covered, so it is not scary in reality.

You used a condom and it didn't break. Therefore you had protected sex, which is not a risk for HIV. Touching blood or getting blood on your skin does not cause HIV.
