HIV DNA/PCR testing

My daughter was sexually assaulted a few weeks ago. She took an HIV DNA PCR test and an antibody test at 32 days after the assault and took another HIV antibody test at 45 days after the assault. They all came back negative. I know the DNA PCR testing is not normally used as a diagnostic test but after all the tests she has taken should she need to test again at 12 weeks? I was told the DNA PCR test should be conclusive after 28 days. Thanks for any responses.

They are not approved for diagnostic use, so the antibody test is the only test that will give a conclusive result.

I know the DNA PCR tests are used by blood banks to help reduce the window period. Surely they should be able to detect the virus in the blood....shouldn't they?

PCR-DNA tests are incorrect and will not give you a conclusive test result. Her antibody test at 12 weeks will be conclusive.
