Level of Risk in Being The "Top"

I have been reading ads on a bareback site.  The vast majority of "tops" state they are HIV- and the doctors on the professional forum suggest that most people tell the truth about their HIV status.  However, there ARE some men who claim to be exclusively "tops" who are positive.  I can understand how anal receptive intercourse is so dangerous (tears in the walls of the rectum mixed with semen), but would you explain how sero-conversion occurs in anally-active men?  Finally, what are the odds of sero-conversion for such individuals?  Thanks.

My nickname comes from the one time that I tried barebacking.  It was stupid and fortunately I tested negative.  Barebacking is extremely dangerous.  However, rather than address a legitimate question and explain why some "tops" sero-convert, you decided on a personal attack.  You made an assumption which was erroneous and simply rude and nasty. You had the opportunity to explain that ANY barebacking position was dangerous and follow that answer with some statistics.  You lost a viewer.  I will keep any questions to the doctor's forum, if I use this website at all. I, too made an erroneous assumption.  I assumed that you were a professional.  I apologize for the mistake.
