Lots of Oral

Hi,

I have given a lot of oral to a couple different men before, all unprotected, but rarely with ejaculation in my mouth. Precum always I guess.

Is this any risk? I have read that all the cases of hiv by giving oral are patient reports and none are actually proven, is this true?

Is it safe to give oral unprotected in terms of hiv risk? How does it compare to unprotected vaginal (I’ve never had vaginal without condoms). I can’t seem to rest about these encounters, I always have a fear in the back of my mind that I could have hiv from one of my encounters if I had a sore or something in my mouth or small gum injury.

As curfew says, oral sex is not a risk for HIV. Saliva and air inactivate the virus.  The only way adults get HIV is from unprotected vaginal or anal sex or sharing IV drug needles. It's actually a very fragile virus and hard to transmit.  A barrier method may protect you from the risks of regular std's if you engage in giving oral sex.

Hope this eased your worry.

Oral sex is not a risk for HIV.  It is a risk for some STDs so you might want to ask in that forum: https://www.medhelp.org/forums/STDs---STIs/show/98

Unprotected vaginal - if you are female, the risk is 0.08% (or 1 in 2500) per encounter with someone who is HIV+.
