My condom breaks after having sex, should I go for a test?

I had sex with a prostitute few months ago and her HIV status is unknown, during vaginal intercourse my condom breaks, I immediately pull out once I realise the condom breaks like within 10 seconds. Do I need to go for a test or the risk is too low to worry about?

Having unprotected vaginal sex is already pretty low risk for a man, and the brief time period makes it even lower.  The choice of whether to test or not is completely up to you.  If it has been a few months, a 4th or 5th generation test (also known as an Ab/Ag test) will give you a conclusive result at any time now.

Thanks. If you were me, would you go for a test?
If she supplied it then likely she is negative and is protecting herself from customers (which costs her money to buy so why would she do that if positive), because she sure doesn't care about protecting them. It is up to you, however if you test then it is easier to ask a partner to test as well later.
I probably wouldn't, but it is entirely your choice.  If taking a test and getting the negative result will help you forget about the event and move on, then you should definitely do that.
