Negative in three months, still worried

Hi there,

I got tested after 9 weeks and than three months (ELISA) after exposure, but I can still feel big anxiety. I have swollen lymph nodes behind ears and in groin and have white tongue. Problem is that my bf is also sick almost for 2 months (he had abscess in throat and still has swollen tonsill, but he doesn´t have any bacteria). I was so scared that I asked the boy who was my exposure to get tested (4th generation) and his result was also negative (after 3 months we were together). I know this is good enough, but I still have fear. Do you think it is possible that both of us would have false negative result? I mean I read that you should get tested in 6 months to be sure..I´m so stressed. Thank you for your comments.

Thank you. So do you really think I can stop being worried? That any infection doesn´t affect the result after 12 weeks..Do you think my symptoms (white tongue and swollen lymph nodes) can be caused by anxiety?

Thank you Vance so much. Please, I have one more question. Can the test be influenced, if the person catch for example hepatitis or syphilis or have another disease in these three months?

Thanks, do you think it´s for 100% when the boy´s test was also negative after 12 weeks? I´m so worried because you can read that some experts recommend to get tested in 6 months..

I took antibody test in 9 weeks and than in 12 weeks after exposure - both negative, but I´m still worried. Do you think I can calm down?

28 day DUO test from last unprotected exposure or 8 week antibody test for you.

Please, what do you think? They told my bf he has chronical tonsillitis but they didn´t find any bacteria in his throat and I´m scared more and more. But I called one doctor and he told me that today´s tests are almost 100% accurate after 3 months...

Unprotected vaginal sex with that boy (he got tested after 3 months we had sex with 4th generation and was negative - I saw the result from the lab).
