Reread my last post to you. I have answered those questions already.
Let me be clear. YOU HAD NO RISK!!! Do I think you need to be tested? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! Do I think you will stop worrying based on my advice? NO!!
Therefore, SOLELY to put your mind at peace have an HIV/antigen DUO at least 28 days post encounter(I say encounter because it was NOT an exposure) get your negative result and move on.
Beyond that I can't do anything else for you. So you will not get any further posts from me. Sorry!! Take care and good luck.
Even rubbing it into my cut wouldn't end up in transmission? If it wasn't mine, it had to have been there for more than five minutes, is that sufficient time to render it inactive? If you reassure me, I wont waste the money on a test. The hsv1 outbreak I had at the time of "exposure" also concerns me. I will seek mental help if this was truly a zero risk situation
I would say a combo of both OCD, and anxiety. HIV is a fragile virus. Once outside of its host(the body) it begins to break down immediately rendering it inactive. Being on your thumb exposed it to the environment, air, temp change, ph change, etc.
You said your worried you sucked HIV infected blood into your mouth. The saliva in your mouth has over a dozen different proteins and enzymes that also render the virus inactive. HIV needs near PERFECT conditions to be transmitted INSIDE THE BODY!!!
Are you starting to see just how BELOW ZERO risk you were at with what you describe? You don't need to be worrying.
If my advice just doesn't satisfy you because you are trying to have a baby, by all means have a 4th gen antibody/antigen DUO test done one month post exposure(even though this wasn't at ALL).
You WILL without a shadow of a doubt get your negative result and put this behind you so you can concentrate on making that baby.
Good luck to you and take care.
I'm worried that I licked somebody else's blood off of my thumb, not mine. Also worried I picked at my scab with somebody else's blood on my thumb. Is it just an ocd or anxiety issue?
The reason I'm so concerned is I don't want to infect my girlfriend as we are trying to conceive
Could my hsv1 outbreak at the time cause any risk?
No HIV does not work that way. You will not get infected with the virus from ANY KIND of environmental exposure.
