Planned parent hood VS HIV clinic...

I called an HIV clinic not too long ago asking for rates, the receptionist informed me their HIV tests are 160, I then asked how does your service differ from planned parent hood's free HIV testing, he said they screen for different types of HIV, I think he listed 3? Using a blood sample, I also asked the amount of time the results would be accurate after possible contact, he said 6 weeks since contact, but I always read 3 months?  Would 6 weeks be plausible for an accurate result in an actual HIV clinic as opposed to 3 months at planned parenthood?

Who's to say you or I are average? CDC says 3 months and that is what is used here.

True, but the average individual will usually take up to 25 days to develop the antibodies.

Also Teak, yeah, you're correct, they scan for two, not three.. My mistake.

3 months is CDC guidelines. By telling you 6 weeks they were wrong.
