Just an FYI
"If you believe you have been exposed to HIV and want help to judge your risk, would like advice about HIV testing, or have questions about the effectiveness of condoms or risks associated with specific sexual practices, this is the site for you."
This is from above, this is what this forum is about.
Blood bank testing has nothing to do with risk or anything like that.
Thank you man. Its a pleasure that i got an answer.
blood banks dont do pcr test while screening blood..
they do a standard hiv antibody test..
as per an individual...testing is required only if there was a risk and the testing method is by doing a hiv test at 3 month post exposure
pcr test are not diagnostic tests...pcr test is only done after an hiv antibody test has shown a positive result..this is done to confirm the diagnosis which was made by standard hiv test
I really hate this warning stuffs.
Isnt this forum for prevention? Will it make sense if i ask about how to protect my colleque.
Do you know what it means to get access to internet in my town? Almost 75% never touch a pc. U people have the knowledge we need, please share it us rather than just throwing us to the dogs. I dont know if u have seen the face of hiv in Africa(that were i belong). I swear some part of my town still use symptoms as diagnostic tool due to lack of resources not to talk of pcr test.
No do you see reason why i ask a question.
