Possible Risk

Hello Doctors

Last February, I had protected sex with an escort; the oral on me however was unprotected. She was also on the last day or two of her period, so there was menstrual blood on my pubic area. After the sex, I cleaned up with soap and water and made sure that none of the menstrual blood came into contact with my penis. That was a busy week for me, I did not have much sleep the following two days after the sex and the day before the sex I only had about 3-6 hours of sleep. About five days after, I had a very slight fever that lasted for about a day and a half; it was only that and nothing else. What are my possible risks with this exposure? Do I need to get tested?

Nothing to be confused about, you never had an exposure.

HIV is unable to reproduce outside its living host (unlike many bacteria or fungi, which may do so under suitable conditions), except under laboratory conditions; therefore, it does not spread or maintain infectiousness outside its host.

HIV is transmitted by;
Unprotected penetrative anal and/or vaginal sex
Sharing works with other IV drug users
Mother to child
