Probably worrying for no reason

Hi Doctors,

I'm just become sexually active and I had an encounter with another man in which we mutually masturbated and rubbed against each other. The was no semen/ejaculate, but both of us had pre-ejaculate fluid. Although I've read numerous other questions and answers about this type of encounter on your site, I've also searched on other sites and have seen different advice. There seems to be disagreement of the risk of transmission with pre-ejaculate present.

My two concerns are 1) When he was masturbating me I think he was using a hand he used on his own penis. I'm not sure if there was any of his own pre-ejaculate fluid on his fingers, but there might have been. His fingers touched and rubbed the tip of my penis, so I worry about getting his pre-seminal fluid in my urethrea (sp?). There was friction from the masturbation, but no cuts/scraps or blood as far as I could tell. Is this a risk for HIV transmission (and/or other STD transmission)? 2) His fingers also touched around my anus but he didn't enter me with his finger. As far as I know I don't have any sores or cuts around my anus, but I know that sometimes there can be blood in fecal matter. Am I at risk from this activity for HIV or other STDs and how great is the risk if any? Following our time together when I got home an hour later I washed my penis and anus with soap and I urinated, which I've read elsewhere makes the urethrea less hospitable for HIV. Is there research on how quickly the HIV virus can travel up the urethrea to a point where there's a chance for infection?  Although I have not directly asked him about his status, this was not an anonymous meeting and we have dated in the past and plan to date in the future, and when we met through an online dating site I was clear that I was disease and drug-free and expecting the same. I know that's no guarantee, though.

Based on your past advice, I'd assume I'm at a low to zero risk, but I'd like confirmation from you if it's worth getting tested and if so when I should get tested? Since there seems to be contradictory evidence elsewhere, are these other doctors/medical advice sites in the minority? Also, although I don't plan to engage in oral sex or anal sex with him until I get to know him better (and I would use condoms for both activities), is there anything I should do in the future to lower transmission risks when engaging in mutual masturbation and genital and anal touching or am I safe to continue what I'm doing?

Thank you very much. I'm having some anxiety because I'm new to sexual encounters and I think hearing from an MD would ease my concerns.
