Receiving Oral Sex with open friction wound on penis?

Hi there,

I really appreciate what you do on this website.

I am gravely worried that I might have been exposed to HIV.

Last week, I hooked up with a random guy using a dating app and we had protected anal sex and unprotected oral. After the anal part which may have caused a small tear on my penis, I took off the condom and he gave me a blowjob. I didn't come in his mouth. The following day, after waking up I noticed a small tear under the corona of my penis which was very red and it seemed like a fresh open friction wound, an area that had possibly also bled.

Assuming that the wound was created right during oral or before, and the worst case scenario that my partner's mouth was unhealthy (loads of ulcers and bleeding gums) what is the possibility of an HIV exposure? I hadn't checked his mouth nor did I notice any blood (although lighting was dim) but I'm just using the worst scenario.

Should I be legitimately worried? Does this warrant any testing?

Or do I simply forget about it and move on?

I really need your input in this...

Many thanks in advance!

Lets put it this way. If the guy giving you the bj was bleeding profusely. And he had no saliva just blood spewing from his mouth. And your bleeding with an open wound. It would be a risk. If that did not happen there is no risk. And NO ONE HAS ACQUIRED HIV BY RECEIVING ORAL SEX.

Thanks for your reply!

Even with that fresh open wound then you say that I should be alright?

So no testing required?

Thanks again!

Receiving oral sex is not a risk for hiv. I once saw an advice on a diffrent forum a hiv specialist telling a hiv + individual that it's ok giving his lover oral sex. If that doesnt comfort you I do know what will.
