Recent HIV Infection Status

Dear Doctor Hunter Handsfield, M.D

I am from India.

Please advice on the following health condition I am undergoing during past month.

On 31st January 2014: I had an unprotectected sex.

On 10th Feb: I had diagnosed with Gonorrhea took medical help and medicine and completely cured within a week.

On 14th Feb 2014 (Two week after initial exposer): Test the following

Detection of P24 antigen and antibody to HIV 1 and HIV 2 (CIMA architect abott)
Result: Non Reactive.

On 6th March 2014 (Five week after initial exposer) Test the following

Detection of P24 antigen and antibody to HIV 1 and HIV 2 (CIMA architect abott)
Result: Non Reactive.

What is your view on my present condition of health? I am anxious on any potential HIV Infection.

If you need answer from HHH..you have to post in experts forum hiv prevention in paying nominal fee..

Your 5 week test is reassuring. I believe that the CIMA architect abott is a 4th gen test which is conclusive after 4 weeks of the exposure. I would say you are fine.
