Actually, sir, yes. I have read what the other member said. But I'm not an expert on HIV and unless you're on the exact same situation as I am right now, you don't know how scared I am that these symptoms are appearing 2-3 weeks after my exposure. My exposure was a mistake and I should have known better but what's done is done. I just wish you could've answered with proper assessment rather than asking if I have read what I was advised. I am currently experiencing similar symptoms as caffeine withdrawal as I have stopped drinking iced coffee (I don't like the taste of brewed, hot coffee) after consuming at least 150mg of caffeine every 2 days. I hope this is all that this is.
Did you read what you were advised on how HIV is transmitted?
Here is what's happening. My 4-year-old sister had this bad cough 2 days ago, the wet type where you could tell there was phlegm and today, she has a cold. Yesterday, I had a headache and slight fatigue and stuffed nose - occasionally sneezing, no fever or joint pains or anything just the headache, stuffed nose and fatigue. Once a week, i only get about 2-3 hours of sleep because of work. Could I have gotten this from my sister? Or because of the lack of sleep? I'm sorry if it seems redundant but I only noticed these symptoms because of being too keen about the HIV infection. I'm so scared that the headaches or the fatigue may be because of HIV. Can you help me with this? Thank you so much
Update: I feel quite tired yesterday and have a stuffed nose and headaches when I move my head. I don't have fever, cough, rashes, swollen lymph nodes or any mouth ulcers or sores. I feel a lot better today, though. Is this not due to HIV? I'm scared :-(
Thanks a lot! I was worried I might have gotten the virus through this incident. Do you recommend testing for Antibodies at 6-12 weeks?
Hi,
There is no risk of hiv transmission from this incident.
HIV can be transmitted via unprotected vaginal or/and anal penetration, sharing IV works in drugs and from mother to child
Take care
