Lancet risk

Hi all, my question is, is it possible to be infected with HIV by using a lancet if the needle of the lancet has HIV positive blood on it?

The only risks for HIV in adults are:
1) Having unprotected anal or vaginal sex, or
2) sharing intravenous needles with IV drug users.

A lancet is not an intravenous needle.  If you do not engage in one of the two activities I listed above, you will never have to worry about HIV.

Thank you for the response, I only ask because I used a lancet for a HIV test and got sick 3 weeks later (chills and fatigue) which I thought could be perfect timing for ARS if the lancet had blood on it. I realise this could be a coincidence and anxiety. I take it I don't need another test then? Thank you
You had ZERO risk for HIV.
