Small piece of metal pricked hand

Hello, I’m quite sure this is ridiculous but I have to ask. I unpacked an order of clothing and somehow a small piece of metal pricked my hand. It’s probably 4mm long and so thin that I can’t make out what it is. It does bend and seems to be magnetic because it stuck to tweezers. It pricked my skin like a splinter. No mark has been left, do I need to worry? The rational part of me knows it couldn’t really be a needle but I can’t figure out what it is…any helpful advice would be great.

HIV is only transmitted in very specific ways.  In adults, the only two risks are:
1) Having unprotected anal or vaginal sex, or
2) sharing intravenous needles with IV drug users.

No matter what other scenario you come up with, it will NOT be a risk for HIV.

No risk at all. Not even a 0.0000000000000000001% of a risk.

Thanks. Can I ask, how do you ever get to the point that you just accept there’s no risk…I have had therapy for OCD/phobias but sometimes things, like today, make we wobble. Does everybody else just not give these things any thought, even theoretical?
"I have had therapy for OCD/phobias" THis is an hiv prevention forum, so this forum can't deal with mental health issues other than to tell you to continue therapy.
There is a phobia and OCD forum.

What ANM said really. Try to focus on our reassurance and that we are talking from a factual basis.
