Still symptoms..

Hello!

Have noticed some new members in the fora that seem very knowledgeable in hiv and std questions.  About 16 months ago i had a one time unprotected vaginal insidense.  With a stranger female who where into dogging activity.  She insisted in using condom for the penetrative sex but my erection was bad so i compilation without. A long story short.  Pain in groin pelvic area on and of since that day. High lymphocyt count, red spots on underarms. Come and go. Multiple tests to 6 months post exposure. All negative. 2-300 unprotected intercourses with my wife since. She is all Oki. Doctors blame psychosomatic manifestations.  Pain wont stop. Any ideas or words about this? Thanks! For the record..my panic anxiety was enormous. Now more relaxed.. Just want answers..

Thx nursegirl..i guess my problem is to realise that my pain symptoms are strictly anxiety created from extreme fear. That is the hard part. Normaly pain comes when you hit or hurt your body but i guess the mind-body connection is real.  Appreciate the forum. Thanks again!

STDs don't "hide"...you either have one or you don't....and you have proof, from multiple tests way PAST the window period AND the advice of 10 doctors telling you you don't have any STDs.  I would recommend listening to them.  Your next stop should be a mental health professional's office.

If 10 doctors (including HIV specialists) and numerous tests cannot convince you....that indicates an anxiety problem.

Thx Rocket.. I have tested negative for hiv,hep abc, syph, chlamydia, gonoré, mycoplasma, and negative urinstix as well. Past ebv and cmv.infection. Igg antibodys.. Any hidden stds possible?  Have had 2 rounds of doxycyclin. 1 10 days course 500 mg. 3 times a day amoxilin. And 2 rounds of 1000 mg azitromax. All within the last 14 months. All tests in the window period.  Had mri scan of groin and pelvic. Xray chest and ultrasound abdomen.  No swollen nodes acording to radiologists.  And about 7-10 doctors examen me. Including dr Sean Cummings in London and a virologist and hiv expert here and one internal medicine professor. So should be thouroghly examed

The only way to do this is to get a full STD screen, - your symptoms are quite possibly anxiety / fear driven.

Just get a check up, you will most probably find everything is okay, - you do not need another test for HIV so just the other STD's will suffice.

But i can rule out any infection?

As rocket said it is def not hiv. A test after 6 months would be conclusive. Full stop.

Pain in the groin could be anything. You would know if they are nodes and the doctor would check the area anyway. Could be groin strain in which case rest.

Remember however that nodes can raise for the smallest reasons even of we feel fine!!

Thx for the comment Rocket. Just have this huge pain/discomfort in my pelvic area. It varys in intensity.  No doctor can tell me why only my gp put it down to muscle tension in my lower abdominal muscle.  I was sure it was lymphnodes or lymphatic tissue that was swollen and causing pain.  All other stds negative as well. It bothers me so much..

Hi Viking.

Firstly lets get something clear, - you are HIV Negative.

I had 12 different symptoms during my 'worried period', they too were psychosomatic, - the mind is very powerful.

I would suggest that you take up plenty of exercise, eat well, laugh a lot, listen to good music, keep busy with friend sand keep of the web as for as HIV research goes.

There is no doubt at all that you are Negative, your symptoms are neither indicative nor timely of HIVB infection, - your test results prove this.

I wish you all the best, you will get through this, - you just need to let yourself off the hook and move on.

You are HIV Negative Viking - no doubt at all!

Best Wishes

James
