Suspicious about condom broke

Hi. Nearly 2.5 years ago I had protected sex with a gay top male. (I was bottom) Before sex I asked him whether he had protected in his past experiences and he said "yes, of course". During the intercourse he checked the condom several times, so I observed that he has been careful and precautious for STD issues. There had been no condom tearing as far as I know. He pulled out his condom and ejaculated outside. No risk in that. However recently I have a doubt if condom broke and he noticed while he was pulling out condom. Is it possible for him to notice that kind of situation and not to inform me? I and he never saw condom has been broken during intercourse. But he maybe saw that while he was pulling out condom. We lost the contact now and I couldnt ask him. What do you think?

You indicated that you are unable to figure out what happened, so you would have to take a test for proof you are safe.
btw, condoms have a big rip in them when they fail so anyone looking at it would notice - microtears that would be difficult to detect are a myth.

We were both careful, I just don't remember the details now. I didn't see the moment him pulling out condom. What I wonder is would he notice condom broke and not mind telling me?
Also would we both notice if condom breaks?
You are asking questions we can't answer. There is no way of knowing someones values in dealing with others.
Being your are concerned having uncertain details about this experience all you can do is what you were already advised to do. Get tested and be done with it. Any antibody test will be conclusive since this is 2.5 yrs ago.
