Please help, I feel like I've gone crazy

Hello everyone. For the past ten weeks my life has been miserable, and I don't know what to do. Ten weeks ago, I gave unprotected oral sex to a guy who said he did not have HIV or any other STDs. He did ejaculate into my mouth. However, around 7 days later I had a swollen lymph node on the right side of my neck. It only last for about a week. Since then, I feel like I've been going crazy with worry about having HIV. I've had bouts of loose stool, and I've been so anxious for this period of time. I have read that it is possible to contract it through oral sex though many different sources, like the CDC. He got tested for HIV and other STD's about 3 weeks after the exposure and all of his tests were negative. But now I'm worried that he was still in the three month window period of getting tested since his last exposure. I got an oral rapid test done at 7.5 weeks and it was negative. However, this still hasn't helped my anxiety at all. I know that some of my concerns are probably unwarranted, as I know that oral transmission is low. I just can't get the thoughts out of my head of contracting it. I am going to get another test done on Dec. 1st, which will be Day 94. Will this oral rapid test be conclusive? Are all of my worries unwarranted? I just can't take the anxiety. Please help me. I still have 22 days to go.

I just had a Oraquick oral rapid test done yesterday at 94 days and it was negative. Can I take this as 100% conclusive?

Is 10 or 11 weeks past exposure too late to show symptoms?

Do a duo test with a doctor. U had no risk, it will be negative. But the doctor will take your anxiety.

What if I had gum in my mouth when I swabbed my gums and the gum touched the pad of the test stick?

Saliva has proteins and enzymes that break down and destroy the virus. Thus rendering it unable to infect.

Even with ejaculate in my mouth? How does that carry no risk?

I was also feeling really tired for 3 to 6 weeks after the exposure, and I've been getting a lot of headaches off and on. These are just really weird symptoms to me and have never really happened before. I'm still really nervous, and I hate that I'm freaking out about this. Do my symptoms change your opinion at all?

Testing for peace of mind is always a good idea.  You will be negative.

Thank you so much for your comment! I really appreciate an answer. I know that my anxiety can really get the best of me, and it has been for the past ten weeks. I hope that I can soon get this past me and I can eventually get on with my life. I still plan on getting tested Dec. 1st, just because it really will put my mind at ease. Again, thank you for your response! I will post my results as soon as I get them.

Your fears are unwarranted.  Oral sex transmission risk is so low it is more "theoretical" than practical.  In other words you could "theoretically" be struck by lightning while reading my post.  Get the idea?  The CDC will never say never.  Same for a lot of other websites.  You will not find ABSOLUTES!

The science speaks for itself.  No data CONFIRMS that oral sex is a viable transmission route for HIV.  In one study done over ten years over 19,000 incidents of oral sex with HIV+ partner to HIV- partners with over 3000+ ejaculations in the mouth.  Not ONE CASE of new infection was reported.

I really wish people would educate themselves before posting frantically on these forums.  Sure you will read posts on public forums like the body saying they got it from oral sex.  These are very IRRESPONSIBLE statements to make.  You never read words like CONFIRMED or VERIFIED in these claims do you?  NO!!

Putting all that aside your rapid test at 7.5 weeks was good enough to be conclusive.  You didn't have any risk and your test results prove it.  No further testing is necessary.

Take care.
