What does a swollen lymph node feel like?

I tested myself and am waiting for results.

I want to say that, except for the occasional sore throat, I have not had any illnesses since January, about two weeks after an unprotected sex session.  But that was just headaches, sore throat and faitgue.  No fever, no trots, no night sweats or weight loss.  In fact, I've, unfortunately, gained weight due to sedentary recovery to labrum and Achilles tendon surgery.

I have not shown any symptoms of HIV infection, according to websites that say what those symptoms are.

However, I do have a mild sore throat.  I have been checking lymph nodes. . .but I do not know what a swollen lymph node feels like.

Can someone help?

You can not diagnose HIV by symptoms alone. Symptoms mean nothing, only a test will tell you your status. Swollen nodes can only be diagnosed by a doctor.

On addendum:  Sore throats are very common in Arizona because of the dry air and wind kicked up allergens.  I get a sore throat every time I go visit my parents in the windy, Southeast Suburbs.
