Don't get asymptomatic and symptomatic confused.
They are different, not everyone person infected with undergoes an acute infection. Those who experience the acute version experience strong pronounced symptoms they are able to discern were as those who do not, can be hiv positive without even one symptom or any feeling of being ill what so ever...
