Will Genital Rubbing Give you HIV

Hey everyone I hope you can help me with your advice. 2 weeks ago I was with a freind and we were fooling around. She gave me oral and got on top of me and pulled my bare penis and and was grinding me. I felt my penis rub the lips of vagina but never actually went inside her. It lasted only minute of her grinding on me before I told her no we dont have protection. My fear is my penis head rubbed enough on the inside of her lips where she was wet and I might have contracted hiv. I got a bad cold and a low grade fever now that only lasted for 5 hrs and now gone. Please advise me on my risk thank you.

This answers all your HIV questions and if you think of any others, then you can get the answer if you just reread about the 3.
You had no risk for HIV so a test would be a waste of time.
HIV is instantly inactivated in air and also in saliva which means it is effectively dead so it can't infect from touching, external rubbing or oral activities. It doesn't matter if you and they were actively bleeding or had cuts at the time either because the HIV is effectively dead.
Only 3 adult risks are the following:
1. unprotected penetrating vaginal with a penis
2. unprotected penetrating anal sex with a penis
3. sharing needles that you inject with. Knowing these 3 are all you need to know to protect yourself against HIV. The situation you describe is a long way from any of these 3.
Even with blood, lactation, cuts, rashes, burns, etc the air or the saliva does not allow inactivated virus to infect from touching, external rubbing or oral activities. Doctors have calculated the risk from what you describe to be less than that of being hit by a meteor, therefore no one will get HIV from what you did in the next 40 years of your life either. The above HIV science is 40 years old and very well established, so no detail that you can add to your encounter will change it from zero risk.

Just so I understand you correctly with her grinding and the head of penis rubbing the inside of her vaginal lips is not considered a risk. Only a risk if I went actually in the vaginal canal correct?

Just so I'm better educated and others will read this post. Can you clarify why it is not a risk by chance?

1. Ignore ur symptoms as hiv is not diagnosed based on one
2. Oral sex is no risk
It must be full penetrative sex to pose a risk
3. If u worry so much, go get a test. Although it is not necessary, but it can calm u down

Much appreciated thank you and hats off to you and the others that take the time to help people like me.
I made an appointment for a hiv test it's at 27 days after her grinding on me. Will this be conclusive since I will be a day short of the 28 day mark?
Since you had no risk, it will be 100% conclusive.
CurfewX I appreciate you. I made the mistake by calling my local cdc and the gentleman said i was at risk since it still considered fluids contacting my penis. So yea bad idea on my part on contacting them.
I think it would be quite unlucky/ rare possibly? to get hiv like that- you could possibly low risk of herpes or hpv just from rubbing but that would be my concerns. I was assulted without a condom so I get the anxiety(it’s awful) I kept getting the tests and hiv everything negative besides high risk hpv- although they don’t test men for hpv unless you have symtpoms. Try not to worry-mind over matter. I’m still learning I have to accept what happened and move forward- no matter what happens. If I get hpv symtpoms in the future I don’t know what I’ll do- it doesn’t seem fair having to live with consequences that I didn’t have a choice in but there’s nothing that’s going to change it. All the best- I have symtpoms down there(that I think is somatic) although they feel real. Every professional says it’s somatic. Anxiety can do such harm -ptsd had felt like a cancer almost. Most hardest time in my life. Sorry for going on just wanted to share an experience of mine(I still trip out about the hpv and don’t feel comfortable in my own body). I’ve come along way in a year though and hope to have a happy life again and feel content in my body. Get help for your mental health if you think it may be anxiety- with all my tests it never made me feel better. If you get tests that come back neg too and are still feeling anxious- it’s good to talk to a professional about it-find one you feel comfortable with. All the best and try not to stress about things out of your control and just do the best you can
the CDC is very conservative. you do not need testing. also from your question, you already know what would be conclusive on a 4th gen duo test anyways. regardless, zero risk, testing is a waste of time and money.

As stated by others,  you were never at a risk.  Let's assume she was infected and during this episode some fluid came in contact with the urethra in the fashion you mention, it would still posses no risk as the virus would be rendered inactive the moment it came in contact with the environment.

You would be only at a risk if there was proper vaginal penetration, as the viral transmission needs that scenario.  You didn't need to test.  Please educate your self about HIV transmission and move on.

Thank you mike. I had a heart to heart with my freind she stated that the closets we got was the head of my penis brushed agaisnt her vaginal canal but did not enter.  Does this change anything or does also fall under the no  risk. I made an appointment with a counselor because of my anxeity and how much this has taken over my everyday life. Please help answer this final question
Which of the only 3 risks do you think you had? Otherwise you are just making up your own science fiction, and since you don't have any HIV research background it is unrealistic for you to believe that your science fiction can happen.
Anxiousnomore you are a well respected in this community I apologize for my stupid questions. Your right I am un educated in the hiv transmission I'm beating a dead horse with my questions because like you said they wont change. I thought I could reach out and ask that last question since it was the penis rubing the vaginal canal opening I didnt mean to come off un educated sorry about that.
No apologies needed on a chat forum. It seems like you are saying that you will go back to your happy life, so enjoy it.
Hello everyone my 4th genration test came back negative at 33 days. I know you here in the community are not surprised because of my situation. For educational purposes why does some sites such as the cdc, my normal doctor. State that only a 3 month is considered conclusive no matter what test it is? Some research says 95% will be detected at 28 days after exposer what is the remaining 5 percent to be postive at 3 months. Again I thank you and hopefully you answer this question it will educate others.

Your questions are endless yet you haven't answered this one.

You never had a risk.  I really feel you shouldn't have put yourself through this testing frenzy,  this is an aspect of obsessive behavior. You should seek help for anxiety, that would have made things easier for you.

You have spent a lot of time on the internet reading out information, now the whole 'what if' and 'why not' is prevailing in your mind.

Next in line is posting series of negative results and then either living in denial of those results or celebration with the whoo hoos!

These are stages of HIV OCD,  it is a classic pattern.  I must have seen that drill at least five thousand time being on this forum. Search the archives here in the forum,  you are exactly where so many worried wells have been, HIV is not your problem.  OCD is.

You definitely are not asking  questions for any education purpose,  it'only fodder for your anxiousness. I will go ahead and address your question trying to ease your anxiety.  However, the fact remains intact that no question you ask about testing is important to your scenario because you did not have a risk.

Some websites and professionals recommended testing out to 3 months because they are still giving out outdated information. A 6 weeks negative on a standard AB and a 4 weeks negative on a duo AB/AG is conclusive.

People that aquire the virus seroconvert between 1-3 weeks days, a week following sero-conversion detectable amount of anti-bodies would be almost always present i.e at 28 days. Keeping a buffer for 2 more weeks for slow sero conversion perse, a test result for a standard antibody test at 42 days should be conclusive.
