Worried about HIV

Hi,

About 6 weeks ago, I had sex with a heterosexual male. We used a condom, but He ejaculated in my mouth afterwards and I swallowed. I asked him if he had ever gotten tested and he said no. We have not been in touch after this. Maybe a week after that I got a sore throat that went away after a day or 2 but came back a week after for two days again.  I get a little paranoid about things like this, so 3 weeks after I got a rapid test for HIV and also got tested for STD's at out of the closet. I was negative for HIV and negative for STD's. I have been coughing for about 4 weeks, non stop, and also been experiencing excess of phlegm in my throat. Yesterday I woke up in the middle of the night drenched in sweat. I am gonna go get another rapid test this Saturday which would mark the 6 week mark. How accurate would that test be at the 6 week mark? and what are the chances I have been infected? thanks.

You dont need to test for a non risk situation.
If you insist though, the answer for someone who had a risky encounter is that a 4th generation test will be accurate at 29 days post exposure and a simple test 3 months post exposure.

Also, I read that oral sex is a low risk but still has some, specially if he cums in me and I swallow?

Hi,
There is no risk of hiv transmission for this incident.
HIV can be transmitted via unprotected vaginal or/and anal penetration, sharing IV works in drugs and from mother to child
Take care
