Worried...

Hi,
I have a question about HIV transfer.

Towards the end of December 2012, I (stupidly) had unprotected sex once with someone who had recently been checked for HIV and said he did not have it (I was the one doing the penetration). Around a month and a half later he told me he got checked again and he had HIV. The reason why he got checked is because he was sick. This means he probably had it when we had sex but it was recent so it did not come up on the quick testing.

I got checked mid March and the result came out negative.

Now, nine months later, I moved to Latina America and I am extremely allergic to the humid climate here. Usually I just get itchy eyes, but this time not only are my eyes itchy, but I have a huge headache as well as mucus and the inside of my mouth is dry and peeling while my tongue is dry and has little tiny white dots on the tip.

I am worried that maybe the first HIV test did not detect anything and that now it's starting to develop which is why my mouth is like that.  At the same this is the first time anything happens to me in the past 9 months, I haven't had any other symptoms.

I will get tested again, but I was just wondering if these were signs of HIV or if I'm going insane over nothing, because I'm really scared.

Thanks...

Thanks for the messages. I am getting tested tomorrow and will let you know what the result is.  I am getting blood tests done but in the mean time I am using this product that you buy at a pharmacy called oraquick which lets you know within 20 minutes if one has it or not.  Any experience on using it?
