blood drawing

Hi Everyone, I am so worry that make me posting a question on this esteemed forum. I am always taking good care of myself and my family from infectious deasese but risk is always exist anytime, anywhere. I relate everything in real life with hiv in my life and it makes me difficult to move on. Fear all the time.

I did blood test few times a year to make sure I am healthy. I never bother to check whether needle used by lab was new and now I worry that there might be chance where the lab worker accidently use a used needle.

My question is whether there is hiv risk from blood drawing for blood test purpose?

I am a first time user of this forum and I appologise if my question is funny but I think accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

Needles are not reused. I would encourage you to seek a therapist to help you deal with your unreal fear of HIV. You have no reason to test for HIV unless you are using IV drugs and sharing needles or having unprotected sex with different women/men. HIV is not transmitted casually.

Needles are not resued. I am not going address "what if" questions that do not happen in real life.

Thank you Vance for your answer. My last question is whether blood drawing with a used needle carries any risk? I know hiv is rare but I have 4 friends acquired hiv and one of them pass away last year, that is the cause of my unreal fear and I hope you understand Vance.
