Hi. There was dermatitis on my head and I scratched open the skin on my head. It had stopped bleeding severely but had not healed up and it was red. I went to a barbershop to wash my hair but I was warried about getting HIV among the injury. What if there was injury on the clerk's hands? Was that dangerous? Thank you!

HIV isn't transmitted this way.  In adults, HIV is transmitted via unprotected genital or anal sex, or by sharing IV needles with HIV-infected drug users.

Thank you! But may I know the reason?

That actually is the reason -- HIV isn't transmitted by having your hair washed. As to why you have dermatitis, your doctor would be best equipped to answer that.
