Hi, I'm not an HIV expert but I was informed by doctors I consulted with (when I had a previous scare and had to undergo early testing) that a duo combination test performed from the 4 week mark is considered final and fully conclusive. Please have a look at the responses given by doctors on these thread

Thank you for your prompt response sultan284! Very kind of you to be contributing to this forum and helping all of us confused/scared individuals. The threads that you posted have helped me calm down a little bit and are very reassuring. Despite my high risk exposure would it be safe to rule out hiv at this point? I am young, healthy and do not have any immunodeficiency diseases. I am also not on any medication. Can I have unprotected sex with my wife? Also, I started getting ars symptoms just after my 4 week poc test. They remained strong until 2.5 weeks later. If i was seroconverting, would my 6 week duo test have tested positive? I will never put myself in a situation like this again. I feel great hatred towards myself for this.
My symptoms consisted of extreme fatigue, swollen lymphnodes in neck, stiff neck, oral thrush/white coating on tongue, loss of appetite, weight loss and very small rash.
I'm aware that you are not an hiv specialist, more asking for your personal opinion. Thanks again.
Would mean a great deal to me if I could get your expert opinion on this. Struggling with anxiety after this event and your opinion on this matter would dramatically decrease my anxiety. It's crippling me. Thanks in advance doctor.

Your negative DUO test at 6 weeks confirms you are negative. These tests are very sensitive, and you can relax and move on with your life.
Thanks sultan284! I have received and responded to your message. Thank you SO much. :)
