cells that hiv infects

I recently read a post that stated that, baring deep fresh injury, hiv is only transmittable through specific types of cells. I was unable to find examples of this over the internet. Does anyone know if this is accurate, and if so what cells are they talking about?

I am aware that genital mucus membrane (for most people) contains a protein resistant to type one (discovered a few years ago). and i also realize that cuts begin clotting immediately so must be substantial to transfer infection, provided neither party are hemophiliacs.
After reading Dr. H.'s posts which states that vulnerable tissues are "deep" i am just wondering what sorts of deep tissues he is referring to.
