thn how does one explain multiple episodes of rash and fever followed by a bacterial infection 1 month after using a blood product
Your five year old was never in a window period. Move along please.
Hi I understand that most studies for HIV are on adults or neo-nates. So is the window period universal for all age groups?? will a 5 yr old have the same window period or will it be extended
thanks,
concerned parent
Move along, you nor your daughter have an HIV concern.
I rechecked the COA given by the stem cell company and it only mentions Antibody tests not a single PCR
GVHD was ruled out as the rash or fever did not persist...it was more of a febrile rash...my only point is even if there is a minor chance of infection...do i need to test further or the tests that i have done by far are enough?
I understand that i may be wasting your time...but i have to ask
thnx
Im from India where transfusion detection rules are not as stringent as in the west
I know maybe im over reacting but what if the stem cell bank only used an ELISA and infected blood got thru in the window period
Move on, your daughter was never at risk of contracting HIV.
