confused conditions
Now is about 6 months over dangerous anal sex.
I used condom whenever I made sex. But one time, condom broke while making anal sex.
I test at 10 weeks after that exposure at home with a rapid test device ( I used finger prick whole blood test)
It showed a clean contral line but terriably a barely visible faint test line two.
I read as positive according to guide lines from test manufacturer. Any two visible lines of any intensity must be interpeted as positive.
So I was so afraid and went a large laboratory and made a DUO Ultra test at 13 weeks.
Wonderfully I came back negative. I got results about 3 hours later.
Then at 6 month again last week, I tested again with another two rapid test devices and THEY also showed weakly reactive too.
I went to lab and made a LAB test DUO test again and it was negative again too.
I am now so confused.
Rapid tests showed weakly reactive. Lab tests showed negative below cut off point.
Am I positive or negative now?
Are rapid false positives ALL the TIME FOR ME (OR) Are Lab tests not as sensitive as rapids till 6 months ?

I have almost the same situation like you. I always test positive on two particular tests but negative on eia test , 4 gen Elisa western blot and pcr.
Some sites state that if one is positive in a screening rapid test; he must be confirmed with Western blot even though the subsequent lab ELISA test is negative.CDC also state that fact. can there a condition in which lab ELISA not as sensitive as rapid tests?

no you do not need a western blot
some ppl will throw out false positives on rapid tests...trust your lab based test

I m still weakly reactive in present rapid testss.but negative lab ELISA tests. Do I need confirmation like western blot?
