confused-urgent help

i just went for a regular hiv test on monday.They tested me through the CIA mehod which returned reactive(3.34 where the negative index was <1)..i freaked out and went to a better laborotory on the same day and they tested me through the CMIA method which was unreactive.But again the lab which gave me a reactive report tested me on wednesday(2 days after the first test)by the same CIA method which was again reactive(3.09)...then i went to a big reputed hospital and got an IFA confirmatory test which was negative.For your information i have had no risky exposures in the last 3 months nor do i have any symptoms....could u plz help me solve my case...also in 3.34 a weak reaction or strong..

Your confirmatory test was negative,you don't have HIV.Let it go and live your life.

thanks man..and am from kolkata too..i got it from roy and tribedi..religare..and belle vue..

the reactive tests were from some pulse diagonostics

i would say you are hiv NEGATIVE.false positives happen at times.it happened with me too around 2 yrs back and i had to send a fresh blood samle for retest. just for ur info i am from kolkata and i had the test thru SRL labs which is now Religare.the test came back as negative but as u know i was worried and i had another test in a different lab and it was negative.i had around 30 tests in the past 3 yrs.just be safe and dunt worry ur negative.

after the above happened i waited another 12 days and got retested again by the CMIA Method and it was negative..what do u say..?

i guess ur from india..i am from india too.what was ur risk? did u test for hiv and other std's before all the above tests?

am sorry...by mistake i typed reactive...it was non reactive (0.18)

i again got tested for hiv 14 days after all that mentioned above happened by the CMIA method and it was again reactive(o.18)

No further testing is required,you don't have Hiv.

but the IFA is also a confirmatory test and is equivalent to the western blot
should i do any further testing..?

A western blot is a confirmatory test.

I don't know,ask them,but a confirmatory result is gold and that's all that counts.You're negative,be happy.

better to take western blot test it is 100% accurate test

then why will i get 2 reactive CIA tests from the same laborotory and all the other labs giving me negative test...can the CIA test detect infection earlier than CMIA and IFA test?

If you never had any risky exposures in the last 3 months and the confirmatory test was negative then you don't have Hiv,that simple.
