dry mouth and furry tongue

I have been going through the archives of the forum and I saw many posts regarding dry mouth and furry tongue being symptoms of HIV. Is this true or false? If true at what stage does the person develop them?

furred tongue is not rare , due to anxiety, mouth breathers and a host of other things, as they said you didnt have a risk and so the question is pointless. trying to learn more symptoms of hiv just put obsessive thoughts in your head.

You didn't have a risk of contracting HIV and you've read on this forum time and time again that HIV has NO SPECIFIC symtpoms. What is it that you don't understand?

so you mean that they don’t necessarily have a connection to HIV? I know that medication and diabetes can cause dry mouth but furry tongue is a very rare thing.
