early symptoms of hiv
i had unprotected sex with a male of 21 years old about 2 months ago...i cannot stop worrying and i'm driving myself insane. about 2 weeks after i had unprotected sex with this person i was feeling sick and dizzy for just over 2 weeks. i now have a dry cough, sore throat and what looks like mild oral thrush...i have later found out that this person has a tatoo (done by his friend and possibly with unsterile equipment) nd has slept with a prostitute in amsterdam :( :S i have been to my local gum clinic and had a test but that was only after 9 weeks...will that be reliable and what is my risk? i cant stop panicing and it's dominating my thoughts :( im reall scared
9 weeks is a very good indication but 3 months is conclusive. Can't tell you an actual number on risk because so many factors are involved but follow up with a 3 month test.
Also do not use symptoms to try to get an indication of HIV because they are too general and can be linked to 100 of other things.
