exposure 2006

For the last few years I have had some symptoms i think might match up with HIV.  In early 2006 i had protected sex in Panama with women that i did not know status.  I have been tested through ELISA a couple of times since and was neg, and I know the test to be very accurate I dont question that.  16 weeks after exposure I had a oral ulcer around the throat area i have had soft stools on and off for the last couple of years. I recently developed Guttate Psoriasis and eventually Psoriatic Arthritis.  I have read that Guttate Psorias and Psoriatic Arthritis were some times pre cursors to AIDS pre Haart era, but my tests say I am negative 4 ELISA through 2 year period post exposure. I succepted and STD 3 weeks after exposure, but I wore a condom and I am a circumsiced white male in a one time act of penile to vaginal intercourse ie low risk behavor.  I am seeing the DR on Monday should I ask for a PCR test to balance off the ELISA just in cass, or test for CD4 count just to rule out non cad B HIV Virus.  If I have HIV will taking Haart calm the symptoms of Guttate Psoriasis and PSA or will my Immune system be so overworked that I will arthritic complications for life.

time to move on and put this behind you.  you did NOT contract hiv from the event you described.  you had protected sex...which protected you from hiv...and even though there wasnt a need to test, you did...so the negative tests only proves this point.

IF YOUR TEST WAS TAKEN AFTER THREE MONTHS OF EXPOSURE, THEN YOU ARE NEGATIVE. THE FACT THAT IT WAS PROTECTED IS AN EVEN BIGGER REASON YOU ARE NEGATIVE. SEEK HELP IF YOU CAN'T LET THIS GO!!!!
