hiv risk

guys please help me. I have made a terrible mistake. i helped homeless guy on the street, bought a magazine from him, he loooked like he felt on the ground some time ago, bruises and scratches,... i might have some residual blood on hands. right away (really max few min), I changed my tampon, without washing hands. Please is there any risk? I am so scared, I cant even eat. And dont know what to do with my husband and son now. Thank you very much for your help.

The only risks for HIV in adults are:
1) Having unprotected anal or vaginal sex, or
2) sharing intravenous needles with IV drug users.

Nothing else you can think of would put you at risk for HIV.  There is no "what if" that you could add to this event that would make it a risk for HIV.

You had zero risk and there is no reason to test for HIV, since you were never exposed to HIV.
