hiv testing and answers
Hi there, i know i have written questions on HIV in the past but this is completly diffrent.
While i was looking into diffrent tests etc i saw they have a PCR test, a HIV DUO, and the normal HIV test, Right i wanted to ask if for example you had sex with someone in Africa, or Asia is there diffrent kinds of HIV? Secondly, with all these tests here especially some companies say that the PCR test is 99% reliable but is that for all kinds of hiv? To rule put HIV for ever if i had a HIV DUO at 4-6 weeks that would be reliable yeah but not conclusive as 3 months is... if i tested negative in october for HIV does this rule out all kinds of HIV that are out there? Im very conffused with this data can anyone help.
